Day 1
Arrived at Ben Gurion at 1am, where we were promptly sent to one interrogation room, then another. Perhaps the Tunisian stamps in my passport or the seven-thousand dollars in my pocket. Finally escaped the law, but not before they dinged us with a stamp in the little blue book, thus curtailing future Islamic ventures. ![]() Hilton Beach was firing so we chased after Arthur and watched him go. The winds are pushing the sandbars around, which should kick the surf into gear for the next two months or so. Day 2
Upon arrival, one member of our team promptly inverted himself and began patrolling the beach on his hands. That night was the 30th anniversary of Peace Now and a rally was held in Rabin Square. Whispers of right-wing protests and violence were heard, but none materialized. Several sandwiches, however, did materialize, and were promptly vaporized. We sat and ate them on the corner of Dizengoff and Ben Gurion, admiring the night parade under a dark and balmy sky. ![]() Posted on 10 Apr 2008 by crew
Day 3
![]() We received a text saying two Israeli civilians were killed when Palestinian militants breached the border and attacked a fuel depot near Nahal Oz. Both Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade and Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility, though Israel blamed Hamas, responding with air strikes, and mobilizing tanks for an offensive in Gaza.
